One part of the article misquoted me so I would like to set that right. The part that says that spirits are most often seen in the day is not totally correct. What I did say was that there are a lot of misconceptions regarding spirits and one of them being that spirits are only out at night. I then went on to say that most of the spirits that I have encountered personally were during the day.

Taps and whispers and silhouettes in the night. The curious were drawn to hear about the ghostly research by the Niagara Area Paranormal Society - and they weren't disappointed.
Carol Taylor has been investigating the paranormal phenomena around Niagara for the past 25 years and with her technical whiz husband Darran Taylor, brought a haunting story Saturday to the Fleming Branch of the Lincoln Public Library in Beamsville.
"There's a lot of misconceptions that we're running through cemeteries," Carol told the group meeting in the basement of the library.
"Actually we don't even go to cemeteries. Most of our work is done at private residences and businesses."
It's a wide open field, "more like detective work" says Carol of the investigative services they provide free of charge to benefit their own research.
Members of their professional investigation team meet to regularly to uncover the mysteries found in every corner of the region.

Little ghost busters from left Thomas Daley, 11; Spencer Thomas, 11; and Adrian Thomas, 9, joined professional investigators with the Niagara Area Paranormal Society during a walk through at the Niagara West Employment and Learning Resource Center in Beamsville.
A four-hour investigation usually entails about 40 hours of post work to sort through the findings and often, Carol said, they are able to rule out the paranormal and give owners of the 'haunted' residences a logical explanation for the unexplained.
That's often the good news and while the team is not there "to get rid" of spirits, but more for academic research, "if something is there and doesn't want to go, then you can't get rid of it," Carol said.
Spirits are just naturally drawn to some people she says. "Every house I've lived in has had activity."
But in her personal experience and research, "I've never come across anything super negative. Some spirits just aren't aware they're deceased."
"Footsteps, whispering, talking, tapping and knocking are prevalent in a lot of cases where there is paranormal activity happening."
"There is a misconception that spirits come out at night but most activity happens in the day," Carol said.
Darran demonstrated the equipment used in their research and showed a documentary of the Society in action.
