Why Does The Paranormal Exist?
Using the gift of imagination, that tool of theoretical consideration which is also an illusion in of itself, we pause, and imagine that we entered the field of temporal materiality and through the course of this strange experience of 'life", we did not have the UFO phenomenon, the Bigfoot, Ghosts and any other anomalous events to prompt our curiosity. If we compare the enigma of our arising in the field of sensate experience and compare it to the enigmas that inhabit this field, this arch absurdity of their absence seems counterintuitive as we are drawn to it as much as others are repelled. Like a double slit experiment we potentially can fall on the side of either being waves or particles, adventurers or skeptics, self professed experts or sincerely quizzical. This sifting is undoubtedly is a process which has been placed before us in a seemingly existential situation where choice is the imperative. Perhaps the White Rabbit of the Paranormal is an intentional lure and not a guide.
A Stage Set Without A Script
Religion certainly applied this trans personal quest by the redirection of myth toward the daily life of many and continues to do so for the majority of humanity. The discernment between need and want can be a such an entanglement that one may consider the two as applied toward the transcendent as one and the same. The inference of the transcendent can be considered highly managerial, often I think of the set of choices being set before us are in of themselves, provocative managerial forces that continually individuate us, regardless of our philosophic interpretation of this dynamic, or for that matter why we are here in this sifting process and not elsewhere in the illusionary measurement of "time." Another way to look at this arrangement is that the skeptic, the believer and the agnostic are all portraits hung in the same exhibition hall of process and integration. If we look at the microcosm of ourselves as individuals, we observe all three points of reactive positioning of the believer, the agnostic and the skeptic within ourselves within this larger dynamic. This process of differentiation may appear to be chaotic. When, if viewed from a more global hierarchy of observation, these individuated refractions all point toward the pursuit of singular quest which seemingly has no goal other than the recognition that this process is indicative of it's extension in growth through differentiation,and adaptation much like cellular growth. When we see the role of the White Rabbit, we can observe it's provocative agency as a Trickster not so much as a strategy of misdirection but rather one pointed to by example, the need to extend ourselves in growth, should we chose to pursue it. Perhaps in a greater sense, we can infer a subtext that it is we ourselves who are unreal to the agents of apparent deception.
A Clever Rabbit
If this is so, we can easily ascertain that this strategy is saying look at where I am pointing. perhaps we can also infer that this is the very reason that the markers toward the rabbit hole keep endlessly transforming in relation to the state and position of humanity toward it's conceptual models of who and what it is. If this is so, the transmutation of nature spirits to fairyland, to Ufology as Jacques Vallee suggested, may be the attenuation of a process which not only will recede into the distance as we approach, but may entirely be expected to change it's methodology in manifestation in it's temporal formulation. Perhaps phantom animals, aircraft and humanoids will be observed in new forms built upon the progressive foundational concepts which will eventually either become more extensive, or, one wonders should this dynamic find us so abstracted that this ploy is no longer a viable vehicle for transformation of the psyche, that it becomes more directly internalized or for that matter, vanishes without a trace, only to reappear as phantom broadcasts, phantom roadways or phantom postings on the internet. My family have already received nonsensical phantom phone calls.
What Agency Is This?
One considers the interactive role of this phenomenon in terms of supplying a question mark in our path, perhaps the formulation of the questions at hand are inadvertently of our making as it apparently is reactive and as such appears to exhibit non human behaviors as a pointed exercise aimed at our settling as a mixture into a premature state of fixation. Our state of fixation in this admixture may be always subject to stirring and that the stick inserted into the mixture may be an indirect and subconscious reminder, a transcendent post it note placed upon the surface of materiality. The arising of mystery apes in relation to the degradation of the ecology, the onset of flying craft in accordance to the potentially destructive nature of the aircraft we produce and so forth and so on. Strange craft navigating the increasingly toxic cesspool the oceans have become, the writings on the grain as increasing numbers of our fellow humankind face starvation and famine. Is this why these selections have a exponential wrap around effect? Is this why we do not see phantom roadways, phantom this or that and instead our menu is set in accordance to the results of effective human behavior placed toward a unintentional but increasingly negative impact? If so, are we witnessing the functioning of the sum total consciousness of the planet itself addressing us as a message being delivered to the proverbial neurons of its corpus?
One wonders as we descend in an apparent free fall from the graces of organic nature that a behavior of a "Supernature" as formulated by Lyall Watson, may be countering these infectious and harmful carcinogenic growths of disease. One possibility out of an innumerable count of agencies that set this stage in order that we may not rest as easily as our natural inclination may prefer. As in the last post perhaps we should consider the medium in of itself as worthy of the same valuation as what we see. in the face of a question I have posed myself, I have to honestly answer if I wish to have any footing in this pursuit. Would I have learned as much as I have or have changed my effective behavior if I had not encountered the paranormal? No. You would not be reading the words that I am telegraphing my thoughts to you within this medium had I not. And you would not be here on this page had you not been mining every territorial claim in order to trace the cartography of an invisible world which you have either directly or indirectly pledged your efforts toward as you as well as I have been undoubtedly lured. Whether all of this happens to fall into place of it's own accord by happenstance or your own gravitational field being pulled into the orbit
of this path, is entirely up to your own process of individuation, which, while we may disagree on the details or how many angels fit on the pin, we do share this processing and integration in common.
