Psychic Uri Geller buys Presley's house

Psychic Uri Geller has bought the house that Elvis Presley lived in before he moved into Graceland.


Geller bought the four-bedroom house in Tennessee with two partners after casting a winning bid of $905,100 on eBay.


Speaking about the house purchase, Geller said: "We are unbelievably pleased. This is a piece of history."


"We intend to restore it to its old glory. We would like to bring sick children there (for tours), Palestinian children, Israeli children, American children," Geller said. "Hopefully one day we might get approval to turn it into a museum."


"As the clock closed on the bidding Sunday, I felt intuitively I got the price," he said. "Suddenly the radio started playing an Elvis song. That was Elvis telling me we got the house!"


Presley lived in the house in Memphis for 13 months, during which time he had hits with 'All Shook Up' and 'Don't Be Cruel'.
