Paranormal experiences run the gauntlet of categories - but nearly all of them are `paranormal’ because in one manner or another they don’t correspond with known laws of physics. And, IF the paranormal is not some self-projection of intentions, or, even if it is - does the fact that the experiences `defy physics as a explanation’ - offer us a possible clue as to what reality may ultimately BE.
In other words - impossible things exist (or seem to, to our perceptions) and we must look at the logical `explanations’ that might fit the `impossible’.
And, one brand of thought - which likes to upset the applecart the least - suggests that man simply doesn’t have the understandings of all things related to matter - and therefore the `impossible’ is simply what we don’t understand, yet. All we have to do is wait for science to explain it.
Another brand of thought is that humans are very special creatures with some connection to special consciousness or possibly even some sort of God (that of course resembles us). And, as `the selected’ we have non-ordinary things occur within our perceptions as real experiences. (Remember, to these folks, it’s not the trees or the Earth or electrical force or anything but humans who are generating the paranormal.) And, when one species sees ones very space as THAT SPECIAL - certainly the `impossible’ should be part of our humankind experience too. Right?
Most humans want to be seen in one of these two camps.
But, another collection of humans - again because we are special beings - thinks that the `paranormal’ is `caused’ by the beyond, - that it won’t be figured out by science, and that, we don’t have a special connection to a God either. This portion of mankind is of the thought that the human condition is manipulated or controlled and set by `the others - or other forces’. Paranormal events occurring to these folks would be seen-perceived as `not of our control’ - and not related to consciousness - let alone a special consciousness. But, as certainly real and not artificial.
But, isn’t there yet another glaringly obvious possibility - at this stage of knowledge of humankind? One that might suggest an `artificial’ source in a sense?
Now that we know all about computer simulations and computer programming and virtual realities - isn’t it time we as humans `grow up’ and accept the knowledge that we may `just not know’ - whether or not our experiences as a human being - have NOT been generated by some program of simulation?
And, not only our experiences - but everything - including our knowledge and science and our consciousness itself.
Wouldn’t we - won’t we - as humans want to `play’ in that type of game (as if many don’t already prefer the virtual) - where we could set up a reality of independent entities and turn them loose with a loose set of rules of society. Then, `drop’ INTO any of those self-aware spaces to understand their thoughts and actions as they encounter the phenomenology that is created. I know I’d like to do that!
Or, just as likely to `drop’ into that reality `a code’ that produces `paranormal’ - `beyond physics’ - events that we then have to respond to?
And, realize please, that it would only take ONE — only ONE society to be advanced enough in the entire galaxy for it to be TRUE - for us. And, what if that society produced nearly an unlimited quantity of these games - more indeed that even the `true’ quantity of intelligent life within a given `real’ universe. IF that were the case - odds would FAVOR us being `within a program’.
Indeed, `paranormal events’ may not be some `violation’ of `known physics’ as much as the programmer looking in at us entities and deciding to have some `fun’. Same would hold true for mystical and religious experiences/miracles. Any paranormal. `Behaving’ much like the `Trickster’ to us. Teasing our spaces for their reaction.
Finally, I’d like to point out another thing that I find — well — a little unbelievable. As you might be aware - differing theories about the universe indicate just how long the universe will be possibly able to house intelligent life on a planets surface. And, in the most sited ideas - the universe will coast along expanding - having heat sources and planets - for possibly Trillions of years to powers of 10.
Now, if that is True - don’t you find it a little hard to swallow that YOU - the space that is YOU - is existing within the first micro-seconds of this universal time to come? Huh? Isn’t that a little strange folks? A little much to swallow? Could WE possibly be THAT SPECIAL?
Or, is it more likely that `those who created the program’ have no reason to fast forward anymore than to the early self-aware entities within the program - like US.
