Pyschic finds a kindred spirit

ALLISON DuBois was relieved to discover that Frasier star Kelsey Grammer would be a driving force behind Medium.

Grammer's company makes the series and he's one of its executive producers.
"He's been through a lot in his life and so I appreciated that he was a part of it," she says.

Grammer has spoken publicly about the fact his belief in the afterlife and in spiritual advisers has helped him deal with a series of tragedies.

He was 13 when his father was murdered. Seven years later his sister was also murdered.

In 1980 his two half-brothers were killed in a shark attack.

"To come to the place he's at after where he has been makes him a very strong person and I knew I was in good hands," DuBois says.

"And I know his relationship with me as a medium has been comforting to him but, of course, I don't overstep my bounds and talk about that publicly. I have to treat him like any other client. I'm very sensitive about things like that."
