Harry Dresden, P.I. - Paranormal Investigator

[Carol]

The Sci Fi Channel has started production on its 12-episode series The Dresden Files, a detective series based on Jim Butcher's series of novels.
The difference between hero Harry Dresden and most other private eyes is that this chap specialises in the supernatural.

Harry (played by 24 villain Paul Blackthorne) is a Chicago-based PI who also happens to be a wizard, and uses his abilities to investigate cases that involve, shall we say, the dark things that dwell in shadows.

Sci Fi Wire reports that production has begun in Toronto, with Terrence Mann joining the cast as Harry's confidante Bob and Valerie Cruz (Nip/Tuck) as a police detective.

The series is scheduled to begin airing in early 2007.
