ORGANISERS of Spirit Quest UK have told ghost hunters that their investigation at the Dinorben Arms in Bodfari has been cancelled.
The 450 year-old Dinorben Arms was boarded up last week and is now in the hands of Manchester-based administrators PKF. A creditors' meeting will be held on September 5.
Last night Spirit Quest said: "The property has gone out of business.
"We would like to apologise to anyone for any disappointment that may have been caused."
The Dinorben Arms has now been closed for over a week, but organisers of the event are keen to remind people that other arrangements have been made.
A replacement venue has been found for the same day, time and price and all current ticket holders for the Dinorben Arms will be offered a place on this replacement investigation or a refund will be given if preferred.
The new investigation will take place at Pwll Gwyn in Afonwen at 11.55 pm on Thursday August 23, it will last three to four hours and costs ?25.
Organisers said: "This investigation should be a worthy replacement to the Dinorben Arms. It is an amazing place.
"It's a must for anyone who wants to take part in a real paranormal investigation in a very haunted building and its helping to support a good cause."
Spirit Quest UK is hoping the volunteers will get the chance to see the spirit of a mediaeval monk who has frequently been seen sitting at the dining room table of the Pwll Gwyn.
