Cornish estates undergoes paranormal investigation
By Mike Williams
A Cornish estate, which dates back to 1246, will be undergoing its second paranormal investigation.
Trevarno gardens and estate, near Helston, will play host to the Paranormal Research Organisation. It will be the group's second visit to the site.
The evening, lead by Paranormal Research's, Jon Hocking, will take place overnight on Friday 25 January.
"This is a very old estate," said Trevarno's event manager, Cilla George.
"There has been lots of activity here over the last 750 years including a lot of life and a lot of death.
"Most of the staff have either felt a presence or even caught a glimpse of something throughout most of the building.
"So it will be really interesting to find out if Jon and his team can find out more information, which we could then try and tie in with census details.
"I'd particularly like to find out more about a little boy who is supposed to follow me about when I'm here."
During the evening three teams will move around the building independently and report their findings.
They will use night shot video cameras, EMF meters, laser thermometers, dowsing rods and pendulums, digital voice recorders, motion detectors, trigger objects, negative ion detectors, ultra sound devices and digital cameras.
"We use so much equipment because it is important that we record information in as many different ways in order to analyse it," said Jon.
"Trevarno proved to be a particularly active building when we first went there and we gathered some really interesting information, as well as finding out names of the presences.
"I would hope that this time we'll be able to gain more information from the ones we found before, as well as uncovering even more.
"Its such a great site as it's had a long history of continuous dwelling with many people."
