(PRWEB) April 3, 2006 -- While the Rubbos were in Sikkim, India, they stayed in Venerable Lama Lodu Rinpoche?s home village of Martam, at the monastery he built on the grounds of his old home. Donald was asked to work on Lama Lodu?s older brother, who had fallen off a roof while doing repair work one month prior and had broken his right femur. Doctors inserted a rod in his leg, and he had been bedridden since the accident. Lama?s brother, known as ?Pandit? (wise elder) to the villagers, is the head of Martam, and has been a vegetarian for most of his life. Early on, he acquired certain psychic abilities and the townspeople flock to him for divinations and advice.
Donald worked on him several times, doing deep energetic healing and Medicine Buddha mantras. Despite being unable to speak Sikkimese, Donald connected deeply with Lama?s brother. Pandit?s spirits lifted, and his vitality began to return. Lama Lodu said his brother told him he found it to be a profound spiritual experience, and that he said Donald has ?magical hands.?
