Annabelle: The Haunted Doll
In the 1970's a mother strolling along the street walked into a hobby store, and purchased a large Raggedy-Anne doll as a present for her daughter's birthday. Thus begins one of the most unusual cases of a possessed object on record. Annabelle's antics were so bad, she is now locked inside a protective glass case in an occult museum to keep her at bay.
In the 1970's, a mother strolling along the street walked into a hobby store, and purchased a large Raggedy-Anne doll as a present for her daughter's birthday. Recently moved away to college, living away from home wasn't easy and Donna loved the little doll. Every morning she placed AnnaBelle on her bed after making it. But Annabelle didn't stay in bed for very long.
This incident is a terrifying case investigated by famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in the 1970's. A priest had contacted Ed, and told him of two young nurses who were experiencing terrifying phenomenon in their home. Strange things were occurring to the point that they had contacted the church for help. The church referred the case to the Warrens, who immediately began investigating.
The disturbance began in the home when the girls discovered a piece of chocolate candy mysteriously left on the stereo in the living room. None of the tenants had bought chocolate, and they were perplexed as to how it had gotten there. Strange messages were found written in a child's handwriting scrawled on paper. Objects were often moved about the home, never being found where they had originally been left. It seemed as if somebody... or something was sharing the house with the frightened tenants. After a month of unusual occurrences the girls decided that they needed help. They investigated the history of the property, and also contacted a local medium. They discovered that before the apartments had been built on the land, a young girl named 'AnnaBelle' had died on the property. AnnaBelle used to love playing in the field... they were happy times for her, and her spirit had never left. The medium explained that little AnnaBelle's spirit was still there, and responsible for the occurrences in the Home. AnnaBelle asked if she could stay with them, by moving into the doll that Donna's mom had bought for her birthday. Not knowing what else to do, the girls said yes, and eventually even renamed the doll AnnaBelle.
The girls came to think of Annabelle as a harmless mascot of sorts, and often left her on the bed in the mornings, or perched on the sofa in the living room. Returning home from work, it seemed to them as if the doll had repositioned itself from where it had been left earlier. At first, they noticed that the arms and legs of the doll were in a different position. In time... AnnaBelle was changing rooms all by herself. The girls would come home at night to find AnnaBelle sitting in a chair by the front door, or kneeling on the floor. Other times, they would find AnnaBelle sitting on the sofa, even though she was left in Donna's room.
Things reached a fever pitch one night when loud noises were heard coming from the bedroom. Thinking someone may have broken in, they quietly tip-toed to the door. Entering the room, one of the tenants was physically attacked by an unseen entity and ran from the bedroom with slashes and cuts. Nothing out of the ordinary was found in the bedroom except for AnnaBelle... lying roughly tossed in one corner.
After hearing the girls incredible story, Ed and Lorraine Warren immediately contacted the church and invited a priest to come over for a blessing of the home. They realized that some sort of demonic energy was affecting the house, and particularly the doll itself. The blessing was performed and at Donna's request, the doll was removed from the house by the Warren's.
For the next three days, AnnaBelle sat in a small chair located by Ed Warren's desk. While working, he would observe the doll moving on several occasions. When the Warren's were away and had the doll locked up in an outer office building, they would often return home to find AnnaBelle sitting comfortably upstairs in Ed's easy chair. AnnaBelle would occasionally emit horrific growls in response to visiting clergyman.
Today, AnnaBelle remains locked in a glass case, and is on display at the Warren Occult museum. The only one of it's kind, the museum houses haunted artifacts and objects collected from over 50 years of paranormal investigations. It is still reported that while very week, AnnaBelle still manages to turn up in the strangest of places.

ROBERT THE DOLL
Probably the most famous haunted plaything ever, Robert is a doll that now resides ? happily, they say - in The East Martello Museum in Key West, Florida
ROBERT THE DOLL
Within months after the arrival of the doll in the Otto household, strange things began to occur. Objects would go missing and turn up broken, Gene took to the unhealthy habit of sneaking out of his window and wandering the grounds at night, and his parents began to suspect him of all kinds of mischief. If he was caught in the act, Gene would always hold out Robert and say, ?Robert did it!?
Although some dismissed the unusual events as the product of an overactive child, others close to the family began to whisper that somehow the doll was to blame.
As time went by, the Ottos grew older and each, in turn, died, leaving the adult Gene ? and Robert ? to live in the house. They spent several years there alone until Gene ultimately met and married a local socialite and took her home to live.
Many of you are already acquainted with Robert, the lifelong companion of painter Robert Eugene (called Gene) Otto, who received the three-foot-tall straw companion from his Bahamian nanny when he was just a small boy. The doll would be with him for the remainder of his life.
There are a number of stories about the nanny, obviously the pivotal figure in this doll drama. Many say that, although she dearly loved young Gene, she was mistreated and abused by his parents on a regular basis. Some versions of the tale have the nanny practicing the dark Voodoo arts and giving the doll to Robert out of revenge for her ill treatment, but there is nothing to support this being the case. Evidently, Gene received the doll, said to be a replica of him, as a gift of love. He promptly named it Robert.
To say that Robert stayed by Gene?s side is an understatement, for Gene was never without the little plaything. He even dressed it in his own clothes and spent hours on end playing in his nursery with only the doll as company. It is said that he was often heard talking to the doll and answering himself in an entirely different voice. Gene slept, ate and traveled with Robert by his side.
Soon the doll apparently became bolder. It no longer seemed to require Gene?s company to move about the house. In the still hours of the night, the servants would often wake to the sound of hollow, pattering footsteps. Too frightened to inspect the cause, they would usually cower in their beds until dawn. Weird humming and singing was heard to come from the nursery if Gene inadvertently left Robert there alone. None of the servants was eager to clean Gene?s rooms; nobody liked to turn their back on the doll.
From the moment The new Mre.s Otto arrived, the creepy doll disturbed the new Mrs. Otto and eventually she prevailed upon her husband to put it away. Robert was relegated to rooms in the attic, where he was to remain ? mostly ? for the rest of Gene Otto?s life.
?Mostly,? because, according to the stories, Robert often left the attic on his own. There are several accounts by the servants and Mrs. Otto herself of Robert being seen darting up and down the attic stairs. Mrs. Otto was often troubled by the sound of the doll?s dancing feet tapping the attic floor above her, and one time was alarmed to hear the doll?s voice singing in the old nursery. Upon entering, she found the doll sitting in one of Gene?s old rocking chairs. When she confronted her husband about taking the doll from the attic when it disturbed her so, she was met with the obtuse statement, ?Robert did it!? yet again. When Mrs. Otto eventually preceded her husband in death, many wondered, ?Did Robert do it??
It was widely believed that the death of Gene Otto in 1972 would put an end to the ghostly activity of the haunted doll. It was quickly learned, however, that true evil never dies, and while the house stood empty reports of the awful doll still continued. Many people would hear the sound of singing coming from the house at night and on more than one occasion the gruesome doll is said to have frightened school children by peering out the window in the attic turret and making faces at them.
Eventually, a new family purchased the old house and Robert the Doll was discovered in his attic home and was promptly presented to the family?s youngest daughter, then aged 10, as a housewarming gift.
From the moment she received the doll the child was plagued by horrible nightmares. More than once, she claims, she awoke to find the doll sitting on her face, attempting, she believed, to suffocate her. It seemed that Robert intensely disliked being left behind by Gene and had no love for his new ?owner.? It was also painfully obvious that he did not like little girls because he is blamed for having torn up and mutilated most of the young girl?s other dolls. When the family pet became mysteriously entwined in the cord of the nursery Venetian blinds, Robert was once again consigned to the attic.
When the family finally moved and the home was converted into the Artist?s House historic location as it stands today, Robert was donated to The East Martello Museum not far away. It quickly became evident, however, that Robert was still up to his old tricks.
Museum workers began to report strange activity after the arrival of the doll, including one volunteer who was terrorized when the doll apparently spent most of a day following her around. Eventually, the doll was encased in a plastic display case in which it remains to this day. Still, there are those who claim that even this cannot contain the evil doll and it is often blamed for numerous odd occurrences in and around the museum.
Once a year, in October, Robert the Doll (in his case) is taken to the Historic Custom House where he is placed on display. Some visitors comment about the seemingly odd practice of peppermints being placed in the display case along with the doll. They are usually fittingly creeped out by the explanation: Robert, it seems, loves peppermints, and placing some in his case will keep him from wanting to roam at night. Skeptics might scoff at this practice, but it is reported by museum and Custom House staff alike that each morning during his October visit there are empty peppermint wrappings littering the bottom of Robert?s display case?
Robert the Doll, still clad in one of Gene Otto?s sailor suits and clutching a small teddy bear, can be visited at The East Martello Museum and, in October, at the Historic Custom House in Key West, Florida. Also very much a fact Robert the doll is the size of a 5 yr old child.

While haunted doll stories are not uncommon, the case of The worlds most Haunted doll as many call him, or Robert the ghost haunted Doll of Key West, Florida, is unique in that so many claim to have witnessed his evil first-hand.
Visitors who have seen him claim to have witnessed his expression changing into a menacing smirk, once a plumber fled, claiming he heard the doll giggle.
One of Robert's favorite activities is to prevent his picture from being taken. Visitors have more then often openly reported a variety of camera malfunctions and Robert's favorite trick is to black out his own photo, while leaving the remaining film unharmed. He frequently creates electric and electronic fluctuations and has been said to move his toy lion from one knee to the other and to tap on his glass display case.

Many in the world still do believe that you should cover a mirror if someone dies in a room and their image is reflected in a mirror. As they believe that the mirror will capture the dead person?s soul, thus preventing its entry into heaven. Some old passed down oral traditions state that the Devil invented mirrors for this specific purpose.
In many a ghost photo of the mirror which is on the main wall at the bottom of the main staircase faces appear, ecto shapes and many distorted almost tortured souls seem to appear in 5 out of 10 photographs taken.

3. Screaming Skulls
The Screaming Skull of Higher Farm, Chilton Cantilo
The skull at Higher Farm is said to be that of Theophilus Broome, who died in 1670. Before he passed away he left instructions for his skull to be kept at the farmhouse, and attempts to remove it are said to have resulted in poltergeist activity. The haunting is well documented; a manuscript at the farm has written account from a number of people who attested to the phenomena resulting in the attempted interment of the grisly item.
The tale was committed to paper in 1791 by John Collinson in his History and Antiquities of Somerset, and the tomb of Theophilus can be found in St James's Church.

As a Ghost hunter I wanted to find as much information on the paranormal phenomena known as the screaming skulls. Some of them may still be found in the homes which they appear so unwilling to leave. But it must be admitted that there is not one single case of a "screaming skull" which has stood up to the examination of ghost-hunters as of yet. I have searched the internet as well as ready many great books on haunted screaming skulls and am wanting to share this information and seek out others who share my interest in them.
Since a child I have always had a fsacination for relics and skulls the first thing I ever found in books was the story of the alleged skull of John the Baptist. "The skull of St. John the Baptist was originally in the possession of the Byzantine and fell into Ottoman hands after the conquest. His Skull certainly is not catogorized as a screaming skull but this is what spurnrd me on my quest to find them.
Screaming skulls are usually placid and just sit there, since the families they afflicted quickly learned to respect their wishes -mainly that they be undisturbed within their chosen home which is what they consider their final resting place. Some Skulls are placed in cases others just collect dust on a shelf or make themselves comfortable as a book end or conversation piece.
Some screaming skulls are reported to be locked behind closed doors or sealed in walls. And many consider this for the protection of the living not the skull. Many who live with them say they protect them or even chase away unwanted guest or intruders.
Blackbeard's head was severed from his body in that famous battle. Afterwards Maynard unceremoniously threw the headless corpse overboard where it reportedly swam around the ship seven times before sinking into the depths of Davey Jones' Locker... But his skull was the stuff that haunted Pirate legends are made of.

4. HAUNTED CHAIRS
This actual haunted chair resides in Aida, Oklahoma it reportedly moves on its own, and a cold chill is felt by everyone that sits in it. One reccent story tells of this chair being haunted by the ghost of the man who originally owned it died sitting in it. So did my uncle and Grandfather, says Gail Steelman who now has it in her home. I can also tell you that others who have sat in it have gotten news the very day that they did of somones death ot a great trradgdy befalls them.
Many have tried to sit on the chair over the years but it soon starts shaking. Vibrating softly at first then noticably faster until it starts shaking. Cold chills and hot sweats usually affect the sitter then a feeling of nausua.
"The chair was shaking all of a sudden and I was thrown out of the chair by some invisible force." Says Gail Steelman who inherited it from her mother."And this real haunted chair has been passed down in our family for many years."
Investigated by many paranormal researchers, and the curious over the years the first reports of it started in the 1960's. The chair has passed through the Steelman family relatives and has traveled from cousins to even a few ex-in-laws. The chair has been to more then just the 50 states, it has also been shipped abroad and through out Europe when an aunt moved to Scotland, then it was shipped back when she died sitting in it. Always staying within the families tight grasp.
"Grandma always told us that if the Haunted chair left the families soul possesion then our line would end so no one including myself is willing "no pun intended" to give up the ghost!" "Several members of my family have died sitting in it, usually of natural causes." Says Steelman. "And from what she knows the chair will not let a family member sit in it until it is their time to die."
The Haunted Chair
The real haunted chair sits alone no one dares sit in it no matter how inviting it looks once they have heard it's story...
Cursed? Haunted? Who Knows who dare to find out the answer.
Gail Steelman who now has it in her home is afraid to part with it, she worries that it might hurt those that least expect it.
Stories of haunted or cursed chairs are nothing new, sitting in one and tempting the fates is all part of what the curious and the debunkers consider all part of the game. A story over the years that circulates once in a while is about a chair that whom ever sits in drops dead.

5. VOODOO ITEMS DOLLS AND CURIOS
VOODOO DOLLS
A recent story submitted to us relayed that a woman in Galveston, Texas bought a real haunted New Orleans Zombie Voodoo doll on ebay October of 2004, It arrived as described Bound and tied in a metal box. Believing it just to be a strange curio she decided to take it out it's small coffin and display it. "A Real Big Mistake" she says with great fear... the haunted doll attacked her, repeatedly. Afraid for her life she put it back in it;s decorated box casket but it haunted her in her dreams. Afraid to the point of mental exhaustion she tried to destroy it by burning it first, it would not burn. Then cutting it up the Knife and scissors broke and finally burying it at a cemetery. But as she tells the dolls grave was just to shallow and it appeared lying dirty on her front door step once more. She said she even resold it on ebay and the buyer wrote her that the doll had just disappeared from her home, so she sent it back to her when she found it on her door step again. The third time the buyer told her the box arrived empty. Again the evil doll was found at her door once more. True or not this story could very well happen to you! So what do you do with a real haunted doll when you can't get rid of it?
The Original Ebay sellers ad said that this Haunted Zombie doll was very active and almost alive. It went on to say that the new owner had to follow the rules of keeping it hidden away and never to open the silver box it was locked in even to view it. She of course though all this to untrue to be believed. And as a beginner ghost hunter she thought this would be a great piece to investigate even if it was not really haunted. But to her surprise it was possessed by a ghosts, she tells. The above photo was taken in 2004, right when she had first received the doll through the mail. She had planned to investigate it and write of it's paranormal activities for a book she intended to write about sending ghosts through the mail.

The Sacred Monkey and Cock
Often found at the tomb of Marie Laveau in New Orleans these statues are often said to be possessed by spirits of the dearly departed ready to grant yo three wishes so they can move on to the next world. One beliefe is taht a spirit attachs itself to the voodoo curio and does their good deeds ... then another spirit in waiting does the same. Such is the actual belief in it's powers or as it was first told in the 1800's.
Passed virtually unchanged in form, generation to generation, comes this strange,"Monkey and Cock" Haunted New Orleans Voodoo curio statue. It is associated with Marie Laveau's personal Zombi Brand of New Orleans Voodoo magic only. This sacred mystic curio is deeply rooted in Yoruba mythology from the African continent.
The Monkey and Cock have long histories of bringing luck and abundance into the lives of those believers who revere their magical images on altars or in homes. Possession of the dual images entwined in the "Dance of Jubilee" is said to grant three significant wishes over a three year period to it's lucky owner. After the wishes have been granted, those in possession of the Monkey and Cock ritually "abandon" their fortuitous friends at a crossroads or grave site where others may find and adopt them. For the new owner, the cycle of luck begins anew.
Some statues are made of stone, some of wood ,wax, clay. I have found one made of Soap. All the majority or of plaster. I have even seen them carved from sandstone, but all are similarly styled and are carved from a single piece medium. They must be carved and blessed in a very involved Voodoo ritual. Examples similar to the ones shown here have been dated back to the port city of New Orleans circa the mid- to late-1800's.
The Gold Sacred Monkey and Cock
Other talismans are designed to bring increase to the bearer, and there are several popular talismanic devices of this sort. Probably the most famous and most sought after luck talisman of the New Orleans hoodoo voodoo tradition is the Golden Monkey and Cock Curio Statue.
The gold Sacred Monkey and Cock Statue is said to grant wishes for the lifetime of the owner. It has been the experience of those who keep the gold Monkey and Cock statues that wishes are granted, on average, once each year, though there have been occasions where several wishes at a time have been fulfilled.
Unlike their common counterpart, the gold Monkey and Cock Statue is generally quite rare and those who have them in their possession usually do not relinquish them. Unlike mojos or gris-gris prepared for a particular individual, the Sacred Golden Monkey and Cock Statue can be passed down through generations and usually is.
Spirit bottles and spells have been preserved in many cultures and traditions, but most of what we know about them comes to us from the practice of the hoodoo rootworkers and conjurers who plied their trade years ago throughout the rural South and parts of the American heartland.
Most of the hoodoo man?s ?prescriptions? for repelling evil involved the use of visual objects of one kind or another. It was not uncommon to find rocks, wire fencing and even old tires arranged in specific designs meant to serve the dual purpose of attracting fortune and keeping bad luck and evil away.
The most intriguing of these hoodoo artifacts are now rarely seen though they were once a staple part of the Southern landscape: this is the spirit bottle tree.
The belief in and use of spirit bottles can be traced back to 9th and 10th century Congo where colorful bottles, traditionally cobalt blue, were placed on the ends of tree branches to catch the sunlight. It was thought that when an evil spirit sees the sunshine dazzling from the beautiful bottles, it is enamored and enters the bottle. Like a fly, the spirit then becomes trapped within the bottle; too dazzled by the play of light, the spirit prefers to remain in its colorful prison, rather than trouble the world of the living.
New Orleans own Zombie Spirit bottles also had negative connotations among certain rural populations where many feared being trapped by in a bottle by the hoodoo man to be perpetually under his command; bottles such as these were a fearful discovery on many doorsteps, including many a porch stoop in old New Orleans.
Here, the multiple traditions of the spirit bottles combined in a unique expression of local beliefs and practices. Marie Laveau often distributed her potions and cures in magically charged bottles; only a few genuine examples of her Zombie spirit bottles are extant today and are extremely expensive collectibles. More common are the homemade bottles of Marie Laveau?s devotees and of the local Cajun traiteurs: it is not uncommon to find these antique examples of local vodoun culture hidden with other significant objects under floorboards or behind bricks in many of the old Creole cottages in and around New Orleans.
Today, the spirit, zombie and spell bottle traditions are being kept alive by the descendants of the original practitioners of the vodoun culture in New Orleans, many of whom learned the art of making and charging the powerful bottles from relatives who were contemporaries of the great New Orleans Voodoo Queens. Plain, painted, decorated with elaborate voodoo doll heads and arms or with simple feathers and strings, all are equally as potent and should be handled with care. But if treated correctly, these unique voodoo artifacts will become treasured possessions of any collector.
These Authentic Zombie Bottle Dolls are made exclusively by the followers and Artist of Marie Laveaus secret society which is still very active in New Orleans today. Accept no imitations visit Bianca the reigning Voodoo queen of New Orleans at The House Of Voodoo online, and Purchase your very own Today!!!
A ghost or spirit is bound within each Zombie Spirit Bottle having been captured by use of a voodoo hoodoo ritual spell known only to Bianca, the powerful New Orleans Voodoo Queen. Often a bottle will contain more than one spirit, but all are compelled to do your bidding alone: once in your possession, it will aid you alone and only you will control the Zombie spirit residing within the bottle. A Ju-Ju Bottle is a blessed object that is said to keep evil and negativity at bay.
Bianca makes no claims as to the Zombie Spirit Bottle dolls actually granting wishes but does acknowledge that strange things have been known to happen when one is in possession of one of these unique fetishes. The uses of the Zombie Spirit Bottles is as varied as the imagination of the owner, though many people like to place them beside their front door to protect their homes against evil; others are kept in a special place on the mantle where they function is similar to that of the house elemental: they will aggressively protect any they are commanded to serve. Others are given special spots on home altars where they are regularly fed with spicy meals and rum, and where money is offered to them. Still others are simply kept as Voodoo collectibles.
Many ghost hunters and paranormal investigators have purchased or obtained Voodoo Spirit Bottles for themselves and have subjected the bottles to study to determine if there is something paranormal about them. But as Bianca says, the actual truth of voodoo is in believing and many agree that a strong belief is all that is required to receive the aid of the spirits inside the bottle. Many believers claim the spirits inside speak or sigh and that strange, inexplicable events of bad luck can occur when the spirits feel neglected or unhappy.
Zombie Spirit Bottles can be kept for years, however, many people claim they know when their spirit wants to be set free of servitude. When this time comes, Bianca claims, you will know immediately and it is then that the bottle should be taken out of the home and broken, with the pieces buried at the nearest crossroad or, alternately, in a newly covered grave in any nearby cemetery.
Each Zombie Spirit Bottle is a one of a kind creation and may vary in size, design, and composition; all roughly measure 10-20 inches in height and can weigh up to 10 lbs.

Zombie Spirit Bottles are ritually prepared and then given to an artist to embellish after his or her own unique fashion. This means that each bottle is not only a Voodoo curio but also a desirable and very collectible example of New Orleans folk art. No two bottles are the same and no matter what style you choose you will not be disappointed with the creation you receive.

EBAY HAUNTED PAINTING
The artist is Bill Stoneham, the haunted painting title is "Hands Resist Him".
Bill tells often tells how he painted Hands Resist Him in 1972, the boy in the picture being himself, the hands being other lives, the windows/door being a thin veil between waking and dreaming with the small doll like girl being the guide through.
Bill does not know how his painting ended up abandoned as described by the Ebay.com seller, but he does know a gallery owner where the painting was originally displayed and sold at, and a Los Angeles Times critic, who reviewed the show, were both dead within one year of the painting being shown.
The Hands Resist Him, better known by the nickname of the eBay Haunted Painting, is a painting by Bill Stoneham which became popular through the internet. In February of 2000, a seller on eBay claimed that the painting was haunted (or cursed). They claimed that the painted characters tended to move at night, occasionally even leaving the painting and entering the room it was displayed in. A disclaimer was added releasing the seller from all liability if the painting was purchased. The painting received 30 bids and sold for $1,025.00
LALAURIE HAUNTED PAINTING
Delphine Lalaurie Haunted Portrait, (2003) Oil Painting by New Orleans Mardi Gras Artist Ricardo Pustanio.
This commissioned painting of the infamous Madame Delphine Lalaurie was done in 1997 by Mardi Gras Parade artist Ricardo Pustanio. Nothing strange about it in it's creation or reasons for being painted." At the time I used what ever image of her I could fine to do the work from," said Pustanio.
To say this painting of Lalaurie is haunted is wrong, the actual painting is more like being haunted by unseen hands haunting it. The resident of the apartment use to invite friends over all the time. And would show off his prized work of art. Over time people actually believed it was an original to the house. For Pustanio had antiqued it for his client per their request. The resident began to hold seances for his friends and even tourist and paranormal investigators who always are trying to get a glimpse inside the haunted mansion. To their astonishment the painting would actually rock on the wall and even fall loose from the wall hitting the floor with a great thud.
In time the resident began to get very frightened because things began happening that just unnerved him. He ended up moving out and giving the painting to another tenant. She in turn hung it in her apartment and immediately was spooked by strange sounds and occurrences that started happening that very day.

The Truth About Living Inanimate Objects of Art
How might a soul a ghost or a living personality enter an inanimate object one might guess or have to ask. Residual Haunting? Possession? Black Magic or a curse? The actual possibilities are truly endless. But as we all know through the imagination anything is possible. Whether in writing, feature films, song or artistic creations these many stories have been told and retold for generations.
It's all in the believing, the making of what we imagine to be real and how it affects us. Through our lives we feel we breath we live and have secrets that we tell only to our selves or to the inanimate world around us.
Does it it listen? Some truly think it does. Artist tend to believe that we see what they see, or at least the hope someone will. They want their creations to be accepted and loved and cherished as much as what they have put into them in creating them. The hardest thing is for an artist to give away themselves.
When an artist create with great care and talent how can they let go of something that means so much to them... all artist tend to fall or be in love with their art. But how do you really let the art go? Any piece that at is painted, chiseled from stone or wood or clay, sewn or glued made by hand that is so dually prized and filled with secret dreams and personal desires and life felt aspirations, be sent out into the world alone and cherished as much as the creator of it did.
Toys do come to life don't they?
Perhaps no childhood companion is more familiar or more revered than the Teddy Bear. Friend, companion, confidante, protector, playmate ? these are just some of the roles the loyal, loving Teddy Bear has assumed over the years. Since its introduction to the world in the early 1900?s, the Teddy Bear ? named after American President Theodore ?Teddy? Roosevelt ? has been the indisputable image of a happy childhood.
But is it possible that the beneficent Teddy Bear, like many other childhood toys, has a darker side, less often seen, but once experienced, impossible to forget? Is it within the realm of reason that the fuzzy friends of our childhood, living and sharing every moment with their adopted children, might take on a life all their own once the innocence of youth has worn away? Can it be possible that the beloved Teddy Bear is actually the most haunted (and haunting!) toy of all time?

Many believe bibles, missals and blessed books often have supernatural powers, such as casting out demons and holding the devil at bay.
Before dismissing the claims as patently absurd it might be well to keep in mind the experiences of yet another National Guard unit at a Baton Rouge area marina after hurricane Katrina. According to a report, boats were tossed about like toys and there was?t a shred of trash or paper around except for a single Bible that was found nearby, open to the Book of Revelation.
Perhaps coincidentally, perhaps not, at a nearby church that was almost completely destroyed by the force of Hurricane Katrina another Bible was found, open to the exact same passages in Revelation.
The passages in question are Chapters 10 and 11 that make reference to the ?witnesses of God? who will be destroyed:
?. . . And their dead bodies will lay in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom . . . Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another??
Of course, the detractors and, in this case at least, even the guardsmen did?t completely read the Bible passage they so quickly held up as an epitaph for drowned New Orleans. Had they done so they might have found a more hopeful message:
?Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them ?Come up here.? And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them . . . and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Ghost they are common in scripture, if you look for them mentioned within the bible. One of the first verses that most are aware of is in I Samuel 28:15, where Saul has a medium, "call up" the prophet Samuel from the other side of the grave:
"And Samuel aitch to Saul, Why hast thou troubled me, to bring me up?"
Many say in the hills of the Appalachians that family bibles are haunted by their previous owners and should be buried with them not kept and passed on.

Ganesha drinking milk again
Ganesha drinking milk again - NEW DELHI: In a re-run of the September 1995 frenzy when Ganesha idols were said to be drinking milk offered to them, devotees reportedly thronged temples on Sunday night, making similar claims. This time, however, all idols were reported to be drinking milk. -- timesofindia.indiatimes.com
The Hindu milk miracle was a phenomenon reported to have occurred on September 21, 1995. Before dawn, a Hindu worshipper at a temple in south New Delhi made an offering of milk to a statue of Lord Ganesha. When a spoonful of milk from the bowl was held up to the trunk of the statue, the liquid was seen to disappear, apparently taken in by the idol. Word of the event spread quickly, and by mid-morning it was found that statues of the entire Hindu pantheon in temples all over North India were taking in milk, with the family of Shiva (Parvati, Ganesha, and Kartikeya) apparently the "thirstiest".
By noon the news had spread beyond India, and Hindu temples in Britain, Canada, Dubai, and Nepal among other countries had successfully replicated the phenomenon, and the World Hindu Council (an Indian Hindu organization) had announced that a miracle was occurring. The apparent miracle had a significant effect on the areas around major temples; vehicle and pedestrian traffic in New Delhi was dense enough to create a gridlock lasting until late in the evening. Many stores in areas with significant Hindu communities saw a massive jump in sales of milk, with one Gateway store in England selling over 25,000 pints of milk, and overall milk sales in New Delhi jumped over 30%. Many minor temples struggled to deal with the vast increase in numbers, and queues spilled out into the streets.
Seeking to explain the phenomenon, scientists from India's Ministry of Science and Technology travelled to a temple in New Delhi and made an offering of milk containing a food coloring. As the level of liquid in the spoon dropped, it became obvious that after the milk disappeared from the spoon, it coated the statue beneath where the spoon was placed. With this result, the scientists offered capillary action as an explanation; the surface tension of the milk was pulling the liquid up and out of the spoon, before gravity caused it to run down the front of the statue.
This explanation did nothing to reduce the numbers of faithful rushing to the temples, however, and queues of people carrying pots, pans, and buckets of milk continued to gather. To those who believed in the miracle, further proof was offered when the phenomenon seemed to cease before the end of the day, with many statues refusing to take more milk even before noon.
