TEDDY BEARS TERRORIZE TODDLERS (October 4, 2007)
NEW ORLEANS (Wireless Flash) ? Watch out ? your cute and cuddly teddy bear might have some dark, dangerous powers.
That?s the word from Gina Lanier, a lead investigator with the paranormal website HauntedAmericaTours.com, who says that the cherished childhood plush toy often holds sinister energies that are passed on from their former owners.
Says Lanier: ?Teddy bears are an endearing toy that a child holds when they cry, and a lot of that energy stays in them. Probably three percent of the 70 bears I investigated had haunted qualities.?
To investigate a plushy poltergeist, amateurs are advised to get psychic assistance to learn the bear?s back story and to take pictures of the bears in case any ghosts are hanging around them.
Lanier also warns folks to keep their eyes peeled for any haunting happenings the bears may cause.
She says, ?I?ve had bears move from one place to another without anyone ever touching them, but they never move when I?m filming them. It?s like they know. It creeps me out.?
