"Don't look at what is in my hand, look at what I am pointing to"
-Ibn al Arabi
This post revolves around the axial theme of spontaneous order and synchronicity and the potential relationship between quantum dynamics and personal experiences.
There at the juncture between human psychology and the undercurrent of the paranormal, ufology has metamorphosed into a black and white film noir, complete with an exaggerated interplay of light and shadow as juxtaposed against the navigation of the truth by ourselves as existential, hard boiled detectives who inhabit a domain outside of respectability, who ultimately and cynically trust no one in a world filled with double dealing, alibis and false leads. Only our instincts allow us to ferret out any intent or motive, whether sincere or a blind alley, will lead us to survey the owner of this castle fortress of "intelligence.".Perhaps we all owe a debt of thanks to Mr Kafka who wrote the original screenplay.
If we walk outside of this situation, on a starlit night, we observe a universe both within and without us, which, counter intuitive to the laws of thermodynamics, produces the mystery as Mr Steven Strogates observes.."the magnificent structures..galaxies, cells, ecosystems and human beings that have somehow managed to assemble themselves." We live in a paranormal universe.
I highly recommend Mr Strogate's wonderful book, "Sync: The Emerging Science of Spontaneous Order."
In this book, he conveys the inner and outer confluences of a remarkable physicist by the name of Brian Josephson, whose journey from winning an the Nobel Prize in the "accredited" sciences" in the field of physics. to joining our ranks in the field of the paranormal.

Some of you familiar with my previous posts may recall an exchange between myself and my fellow co-agitator, Joesph Capp regarding my puzzlement regarding a apparently nonsensical vivid dream in which the mysterious date "1962" and "Richard Feynman" appeared within the context of an equally nonsensical UFO at the center of this dream which began by delineating between a mistaken sighting of UFOs, which in reality, were a formation of planes which mimicked the behavior of real UFOs, which acted in a certain differing manner.
I was astonished to find Mr Feynman on page 146 of Mr Strogates book this morning as well as the date of "1962" which is the date in which Mr Joesphson discovered a world in which resisters become conductors and dissimilar oscillators spontaneously synchronize. All of which arose from a rare and fragile manifestation in these dark days, research based on that most necessary of intangibles...curiosity.
Yes in the quantum world, matter can be both a particle and a wave and oft times, as I progress further down this path of the paranormal,I reflect back to Mr Gurdjieffs axiom that everything is material and that synchronicity between the thought and a non local deed is not so far as Dr Vallee, once mused, perhaps there is a physics of information.
And in this worldview based on a bias of potentialities by the act of our participation as part of the self ordering of chaotic associations, and not separated by the illusions of categories which need be deconstructed, something else appears.
In my case, it was a Winn-Dixie that provided the stage for a little play upon the existential illusions of isolation and the limited range of expectations that stereotypes allow, that can sometimes be radically altered in the spacial confines of a moment.
I was in the store armed with a list of items that my wife had prepared for me to gather. I went to the particular aisle that this list had arranged for me to appear in order to obtain the item in question. An impossibly gaunt and frail gentleman with only faint wisps of long gray hair stood directly in front of the item in question. He appeared to be engaged in no active search for anything in particular, except to occupy that particular space as if waiting for something...this should have been a clue. I tried to make small talk in order to make palatable my need to reach the item he apparently was blocking my access to. I remarked that sometimes, its amazing how much choice there is in selecting any one item.
He turned and looked me straight in the eyes and very clearly delivered a meta-logical observation that the point of the exercise was "to be exposed to an overwhelming abundance of choice", that this was the process of the endgame.
I was taken in a moments notice to entirely level of consideration and managed to mutter some unremarkable cliche in order to excuse myself in order to move away from my own discomfort. Less than a minute later, I turned back my cart toward my encounter with this odd fellow out of what is best described as curiosity, as I was reluctant to engage him further as to appear to him as "goofy", but he was nowhere to be found, despite looking everywhere, including the parking lot. Perhaps he was a 90 year old sprinter as well.
Much of new physics discoveries correlate to the Sufi concept of the universe as an external mirror whose only intent is to provoke wonderment and bewilderment in equal proportion as it's sole function and existance is dependant upon our observation of it, in this opportunity for the universe to explore the nature of itself thru us, which we mirror in a reciprocal relationship, an exchange of gift, in the same manner, that we explore the nature of ourselves, perhaps the paranormal is the manfestation of conceptual vivid dreaming in this exchange of perspective. As above, so below and perhaps the twain does meet.
Perhaps quantum theory is the topography of this mutal linkage.
