Psychic Abilities

How accurate are psychic abilities? On a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being the best.

I have often wondered this lately. What brought on this thought, I have no idea.

I don't know if this example is a premonition or not, but I would classify it as such:
On Christmas Eve, I had a dream. I had received a phone call from my brother Christmas Day. He had called just to see how we were doing and to wish us a Merry Christmas.

When I woke up, we (my husband and I) went to visit his grandma, needlesstosay, this was Christmas Day. When we returned to town, I'd say it was around 4:30-ish, we pulled into the Walmart parking lot to see if Murphy's Gas Station was open. When we had Murphy's in view, my cell phone rang. Well, sadly I missed the call. But I called the number back to see who it was ... it was my brother! We had the very conversation that I dreamt about. The day was the same weather-wise, time of day was the same, and the place I received the call was the same.

This, not preminitions (though have had 1 or 2 previous), happened a number of times and continues to happen. I get feelings about my health, and many other things, all minor of course.

So I was just wondering, how accurate are psychic abilities? Can I trust my intuitions enough to act on them, if need be?

Good question. I think that abilities as such are only as reliable as the person who is trying to interpret the message. Often times we receive messages that may be full of symbology and metaphors and because of the tendency for premonitions and other psychic messages to come to us in this way, it can make it difficult at times to interpret the meaning behind some of what we may receive or feel are messages of future events. I do think though that people can learn to focus and interpret what the meanings are behind what they are receiving and learn to develop their abilities and thus become more accurate in their interpretation.

As you become more comfortable with receiving information this way I find for myself anyways that there is a definite difference in "feeling" towards the messages I receive in dreams or otherwise that let me know which messages are symbols of what MAY happen and what WILL happen. Again, this is due to years of experience and will depend on your level of receivership and interpretation for such messages.

What one person may feel is a particular meaning behind something may mean something totally different for someone else. For example, a person may have a dream about a red rose. The red rose may symbolize love for some people whereas it may mean the opposite for others or have nothing to do with the flower itself but the colour red. So for this quick example I have given, this is why it is important to learn to listen to your own intuition and interpret for yourself what the symbol of the red rose may mean to you and not what you think it may represent in general. Again you can become more accurate as you learn to truly listen to yourself without outside influences. Sometimes you have to look beyond the obvious.

Because of the amount of symbology that may be present in messages associated with psychic abilities, I feel that no one can be 100% accurate all the time and those who claim they are 100% accurate are full of it. So this makes it difficult to say how accurate psychic abilities are on a scale of 1 to 10 because it really is much more complicated then that.

In other cases you may be shown exactly what may happen just like the example you wrote about. While other messages you may only receive bits and pieces. Again it's all dependent upon the accuracy of the person interpreting the message and what the message may be trying to convey to that person.

I think that if you are having a particular strong feeling about something I would go with what your intuition is trying to tell you. Also, you may want to start writing down some of your thoughts, dreams etc and see if what you are receiving is coming true and to what degree. This can then help you look back and take a closer look at the messages you are receiving and by doing so, help you improve some of the insights you may have missed.
