Coach and Horses, Chapfields, Norwich Team of speacilists hold a parnormal investigation in the Coach and Horses pub Pauline Kelly (Spirit communicator) and Micheal Pannell
A historic city pub where spirits are not just found behind the bar has been visited by a team of experts keen to uncover its ghostly past.
Bosses at the Coach and Horses on Union Street invited an investigation team along to the 1846-built pub to discover whether they could pick up on any paranormal activity or messages from the spirit world.
And their visit on Sunday nightleft some regulars in tears and others stone cold as the team allegedly made contact with loved ones and felt the presence of something beyond the grave.
Alex Riddleston, licensee, said: ?It got quite emotional and people are still talking about it which is nice. It was very good.
?I like that kind of thing but I'm always sceptical. I think I'll remain a sceptic but I did get the heebie jeebies because strange things were happening. A few things fell off my TV. But we get earth tremors around here so it could be that. That's how sceptical I am.?
The investigations were carried out by non-profit making group Raven Investigations Paranormal Service, based in Norwich and run by David and Pauline Kelly.
They were called in after several customers mentioned they could hear horse's hooves in the ladies toilets of the pub.
The group say they can feel the presence of spirits, and carry out table tipping, whereby spirits make contact by tipping and lifting tables, and table divination where they make contact my moving a glass on a table.
The team of six visit all types of establishments, from pubs to houses to shops, and say they can pick up whether a place is haunted - and if need be, rid it of its ghosts.
At the Coach and Horses spirits were felt in the flat above, in the cellar, and by the dart board where the front door used to be.
Mrs Kelly, who describes herself as a medium, said: ?Everybody had a residual energy and everybody leaves a part of them behind when they leave this earth.
?I've always had this talent and I've chosen to develop it. It's like being in a candy store for me. If someone has a violent death often they stay around because they don't believe they're dead. I feel blessed that I can help in some way.?
