A book signing, should the spirit move you

[Carol]

We guess summer isn't the only season when book signings abound.

Author Rosemarie Pilkington will reprise the signing of her book "The Spirit of Dr. Bindelof: The Enigma of Seance Phenomena" on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Barnes & Noble, New Springville. A discussion period will follow.

"The Spirit of Dr. Bindelof," which is from Anomalist Books, focuses on one little-known episode of physical mediumship.

When Ms. Pilkington was asked to describe what's most important about her book, she stated that her work demonstrates that mind-boggling feats such as the movement and levitation of tables and other objects, ectoplasmic apparitions, raps, etc., thought by most people to be self-delusion or fakery, are actually real.

"Their existence illustrates just how little science knows, and shows us that we need to revise our understanding of reality in order to explain these phenomena," adds the author.

Barnes & Noble is located at 2235 Richmond Ave.
