An actor in a spooky production at Nottingham's Galleries of Justice has told how he saw a "genuine ghost" at the museum.
David Shiba, who performed in Desecration, earlier this month, is one of a number of people who claim to have witnessed paranormal activity at the tourist attraction, reputed to be one of the most haunted sites in the country.
Many people have heard footsteps, faint voices, and felt cold spots. Mr Shiba says he saw a figure in the ancient cave system there.
"I heard footsteps, which I assumed was another cast member," he said. "I looked down the tunnel and there was a shadowy figure. Whatever it was then walked in and was now in the caves. I still thought it was one of the cast in costume."
But the apparition vanished and Mr Shiba later discovered everyonewas upstairs, two floors up.
Staff at the museum say spooky goings-on there are common. "If you work here you get jaded to it, but I suppose as new people they would be more taken aback," said tour guide Stephen Dennis.
