The family of a missing hunter who disappeared over the weekend at White Lake, is turning to the paranormal for help.
The missing hunter's wife, has been talking to a woman who claims to see what the missing man sees and hear what he hears. Gwen Mouton is hoping the psychic medium will help bring closure after five days of searching and wondering about 37-year old Theo Mouton.
"She doesn't exactly know where he's at, he just tries to give her clues," said Mouton. She passes along the clues to the crews who are scouring the waters at white lake.
"You really feel for the family here, we want to find this person bad and bring some closure," said Capt. Jubal Marceaux of Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries.
On Wednesday, local fisherman Julian Gajan led authorities to the spot he last saw Theo Mouton. "He wanted to know his cousin's lease that they had some years ago and I pointed him in the direction and that was the last time I seen him," said Gajan.
Meanwhile, Gwen Mouton remains at camp, waiting for word from her medium. "She said that he's crying and that they're so close, that they're just so close and she's feeling it that much, that she had to stop and call me," said Mouton.
Many people at Hebert's Boat Landing are ready to believe, holding onto hope that this mystery might be solved soon. "We just want him home, it's time," said Joe Mouton, the missing hunter's brother.
The medium believes Theo is in the marsh somewhere. Recovery crews have been using airboats to get into marshy lands and shallow waters. But even with the airboats and seaplanes, there's still no sign of the missing hunter.
Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries will resume the search at daybreak Thursday.
