RENOWNED ghost hunter Richard Felix will be making a return to Berkeley Castle next month.
The star of television's Most Haunted series will be hosting an evening of ghost tours around the Norman fortress in May.
The paranormal expert will also be giving a talk about his overnight stay in the cell of King Edward II last year.
Last September, on the 680th anniversary of King Edward II's murder, Mr Felix held the first ever ghost tour of Berkeley Castle and he spent the night alone in the King's cell once the 450 visitors who came to the evening left.
He said: "I was the first person to stay in that room since the King was murdered there. It was quite intimidating.
"Even though there are stories of people hearing the King scream, no one knows for definite."
Armed with just a video camera and a tape recorder, Mr Felix said the evening provided some interesting footage.
He said: "At one point I thought there was someone stood outside the room and I thought it was Tim coming to check on me, but when I shouted out there was no one there.
"There are several noises on the video that can't be explained. One noise sounds like murmuring, like someone is talking in the room, another time there is a loud crack."
Mr Felix said he is keen to return to Berkeley Castle for a second time, not only to share his experiences but to spend time exploring other parts of the castle and listening to new ghost stories that have come to light.
"The tours this time will have much more emphasis on the ghost stories because since last year, more and more people have come forward with information.
"For years the castle didn't talk about what went on but now lots of stories have surfaced, even from staff.
"The castle has witnessed a lot of traumatic events over the centuries so there must be something lingering in the grounds," he said.
