Us, as a group do not consider orbs as evidence of something Paranormal and I will get to that reason in a moment. There is currently a lot of misinformation out there on websites/media etc that depict orbs as being something Paranormal. I believe that due to this misinformation, it has created much confusion around this topic and inturn created a lot of controversy and has divided the Paranormal community on this topic.
Orbs are created by pollen, dust, moisture in the air etc. as posted by White Lightening in the shout box. Digital cameras in particular are notorious for picking up on this and in turn capturing what is deemed as orbs. This is due in part to the size limitations of compact cameras. The distance between the lens and the built-in flash has decreased, thereby decreasing the angle of light reflection to the lens and increasing the likelihood of light reflection off normally sub-visible particles. This inturn has made the capturing of orbs in photos very common.
Due to orbs having so many natural explanations for them other than Paranormal, we therfore cannot deem them to be Paranormal. Unless you have other collaborating evidence with temperature changes, emf readings etc., it is impossible to claim that this is something Paranormal.
I have personally seen and captured orbs which appear to have a nucleus, are in clusters, look like they may have a face etc. I can tell you right now with most certainty that these all have natural explanations for them.

So as you can see by the examples of created Orbs that are posted above, they look the same as those who claim to have captured Orbs that are caused by Paranormal activity. So due to the reasons mentioned above and others we have not discussed, we do not accept orbs as something Paranormal.
I think until the Paranormal community can get out of this mind set and move on to things that have some real substance to them, we will not get ahead when it comes to gathering substantial evidence.
