They say that once in your lifetime someone comes along with whom you're absolutely meant to be.
It's a romantic notion that has made millions for Hollywood: There's someone perfect for everyone, a pre-ordained soul mate.
And it's your mission in life to find this mystery person - your split apart, your other half, your twin flame, whatever you want to call it.
But how will you know when or if you cross paths with your match made in heaven? What if you've already settled for something less?
The KISS-FM morning crew, Jackie and Bender, make a great team. But off air, sometimes even Jackie wonders If she married her true soul mate.
"I've been married almost 10 years, so then you wonder if I am with the person I'm supposed to be with? He's irritating sometimes and so you question it," Jackie says.
Computer programmer Jay Krell is 29, single, and still looking for his soul mate.
"I would definitely like to find someone to share my life with," said Jay. "It would mean a lot."
Jay and Jackie drove out to the remote lakeside retreat of sixth-generation psychic Christine Winters.
In 1995, Christine quit her $16/hour job with the City of Tacoma to develop her psychic abilities, something she now teaches to others through a homemade video called "How to Develop Your Psychic Abilities."
Christine says she's been aware of her psychic talents since she began sketching dead relatives at the age of three.
"I was talking to people who weren't there. I called them cellophane friends because they were like white shafts of light, but you could kind of see through them," she said.
Anyway, with the help of a spirit she happens to call "Spirit," Christine combines her psychic abilities with her talent as an artist to sketch portraits of often extremely handsome or very beautiful soul mates.
And so the sketching begins, first with Jackie.
KING
Contrary from looking like Jackie's husband, Bender, the sketch of Jackie's soul mate looks more like Val Kilmer.
After a little while, some drawing, some crystal-ball peering, Christine shows Jackie the sketch.
"You think my soul mate is Val Kilmer?" Jackie asks?
One thing's for sure: It ain't Bender. Which leaves Jackie scanning through all her past boyfriends, wondering if there's a match.
And while Jackie's scanning through memory lane, it's computer guy Jay Krell's turn.
Christine immediately ran into trouble, which is very unusual. Nothing was coming to her.
Finally, she asks him, "Are you like a Trekkie or something?"
He isn't.
Christine laughs at her sketch, which she has begun describing as "interesting."
"It's got some human characteristics, but it has some other characteristics..."
Jay is beginning to get alarmed. Is his soul mate even from planet Earth?
Our psychic sketch artist says she's never come across a soul mate anything like the one she draws for Jay.
In fact, most of the soul mates Christine draws look like movie stars.
But Jay's soul mate looks something more like a vampire until there are a few more strokes with a colored pencil.
"The person looks, uh, It's not clear if it's a man or a woman," he says.
Christine says the person has a lot of masculine energy.
KING
The sketch of Jay's soul mate actually looked a little alien.
Jay is dubious, however, and thinks his chances of finding someone with a slightly alien look are slim.
In the meantime, Jackie is reveals her soul mate portrait to husband Bender, who immediately says the sketch is of her ex-boyfriend Mike.
"I wish him the best of luck. I'm sure he'll be living in my home pretty soon," he says.
"You see, this is why I'm looking for my soul mate," Jackie retorts.
Bender, however, now wants the psychic's number, "because I'd like to know if there's a girl waiting for me because apparently I'll be back on the market pretty soon."
Christine says her soul mate sketches have helped unhappy women decide once and for all to break up with their men. After all, there's only one true soul mate out there.
If you'd like to get your soul mate sketched for you, Christine doesn't need to meet you. She just needs your name, birth date, $500 for a sketch and up to $5,000 for a painting.
