CLINTON - Three months ago Robb Hawkins of Clinton sat down with a cup of coffee to write a few things down. Twelve hours and two pots of coffee later, he had his first book.
After he finished it, he sent the rough draft out in PDF form to all of his friends and they all said the same thing.
?Get that published.?
?Introduction to Paranormal Investigation? by Hawkins is already available and will officially be released to all bookstores Oct. 30, just a day before Halloween. And if it is not on the shelf, Hawkins said it can be ordered through any regular or online bookstore.
The informational book gives details on paranormal activity, how to detect the activity and analyze it. It will also be able to help those who discover activity that is actually from natural causes, rather than paranormal.
Hawkins compiled the information through research and his first-hand experiences with his paranormal investigation team, the Grigori (Greater Illinois Ghost Organization Researchers and Investigators) Group. Hawkins is co-founder of the group. The members of the team are primarily local in addition to a couple over-seas affiliates.
He helped found the Grigori Group ?for the purpose of helping and educating people that were interested in the paranormal or were having problems that could be associated with paranormal activity,? said a press release.
In the past, the group has made local house calls for families that have suspected activity and would like an investigation to take place.
The scientific investigation consists of various pieces of equipment such as infrared cameras, audio recording equipment, digital cameras, motion sensors and atmospheric meters to record any abnormal activity.
