THINGS that go bump in the night could be on offer this Halloween with an all-night ghost hunt at Chambercombe Manor in Ilfracombe.
The event, on October 28, at what is reputedly one of the most haunted properties in the country, has been organised by Haunting Experiences, but will also be raising money for charity at the same time.
The spooky search will be conducted throughout the night in the manor itself and the grounds. Guests will be advised and accompanied by paranormal experts.
The event offers dowsing and equipment workshops, access to all the "most haunted" spots and for the brave - or foolhardy - the chance to endure a lone vigil in the creepiest corners!
Ghostly goings-on are said to be widespread and guests could encounter the annoyed spirit of a previous owner unhappy with the intrusion, see and hear children, have impatient spectres brush past them or watch the empty crib rock...
Part of the proceeds from the event will go to the Anthony Nolan Trust, which battles leukaemia by campaigning for more bone marrow donors.
A meal is included in the price of the night. For more information or to book, go to:
