I keep watching the show ?Ghost Hunters? every Wednesday night hoping that they?ll find something, but it seems that they never do.
Granted, there have been a few occasions where they might have felt cold spots, seen a shadowy shape, or even feel like something has touched them, but in my opinion, nothing really concrete has been captured on film or audio.
This is rather surprising to me, because the places they investigate claim to be steeped in paranormal events by seemingly credible witnesses.
I must say that I have to admire the crew of TAPS? (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) integrity and total commitment
to their work. They have maintained their objectivity, and if anything, tend to downplay any activity encountered, by coming up with logical explanations.
One of the more interesting episodes was where they investigated an old TB Sanitarium in Louisville, Ky. This was a huge building that was built about 85 years ago, and housed hundreds of patients at any given time.
It?s long been out of use and is in a state of disrepair, but the owners invited TAPS to spend the weekend there to see if they could detect any ghosts. Something like 6,300 people died there, and there were a couple of suicides from staff members. It had a colorful history and many sightings by visitors and owners alike.
If there was ever a building that should be haunted, it would have to be this place. They were able to get a dark shadowy shape of something crossing a hall, but that was about it.
The rest of the findings were just personal impressions, and not admissible as hard-core evidence.
My brother told me about an old dilapidated hotel that?s supposed to be haunted.
It?s been empty for years.
He went there one time with a friend, slipped through the gate, and did some exploring.
He had a very bad experience that he ?carried home? with him that night.
He won?t go back there, and if he did, his wife would probably divorce him, considering what they went through with whatever it was that came home with him.
Of course after he told me all about it, I immediately made plans to go there and take my EVP recorder and camera.
Somehow I never did get around to checking it out, but it?s on my list of things to do.
Maybe the real reason for my procrastination is the fact that he urged me not to, and he was being sincere.
Anyway, I think TAPS should be interviewing people who have seen the Burger ?King? dude that?s on the commercials.
This has to be the creepiest corporate logo in history.
I can?t believe that the Burger King CEO gave the go ahead to pay some advertising company millions of dollars for their campaign using this eerie ?King? mascot.
It gives a whole new meaning to the word ?duh.?
All I can say is if I woke up in bed with this leering, silent, grinning figure staring at me, and offering me a breakfast sandwich, I think I?d stroke-out. But that?s me.
