A TEAM of top ghost-busters is coming to Wisbech to investigate spooky goings-on at a town centre hotel.
The investigators of the paranormal will be spending a night in the Rose and Crown after a series of ghostly incidents.
The team from Cambridgeshire Ghost Investigations will move its hi-tech equipment into the Market Place hotel next Friday to carry out its work.
Ten experts will be using the latest techniques to identify any ghostly goings-on in the 15th-century coaching inn, which is said to be haunted.
Lina Hendry, ghost investigator from the group, said: "We want to try to determine whether the reported paranormal activity at the hotel is significant or not, and what is causing it.
"We'll be covering the most active areas of the building with our equipment, but we hope to cover all five floors that night.
"It's important we go in with an objective mind. There might be something significant picked up in the atmosphere, but we hope to report what we find on our website."
The tests will be carried out during the night after the hotel closes.
Hotel manager Annie Appleby is keeping tight-lipped about past stories she has heard from staff and customers to test the investigators.
She said: "The Rose and Crown is such an old building, and I've been told some rather strange stories about this place in the past. It will be interesting to see if any of those tales match up with what the experts find."
Cambridge Ghost Investigators visit possible haunted grounds and properties across Cambridgeshire to explore the world of the paranormal.
