I feel quite un-nerved as I go to meet Tony Stockwell.
My first thoughts are that he will be able to read my mind, or tell me my life is about to end traumatically.
Tony is one of England's most respected psychics, and he's visiting Derry on March 2.
He's worked on everything from solving the most complex murders to reconnecting people with loved ones who've died. I've read that his messages of comfort from loved ones who have passed over has changed many people's belief about the afterlife.
Tony tells me how recently a young woman in the spirit world forced him to find her mother and give her a message. He tells me how met with a woman who's son had been murdered and he could see eight young men bundling him into a car. Then he tells me my dead grandmother is standing right beside me, kissing my face.
"I feel it's your grandmother on your Mum's side," he tells me."And I feel that you were very close to her."
I try to remain open minded as Tony continued, he's not the first psychic I've interviewed. The last one told me my dead grandfather would appear in my wedding photos. It never happened and I felt like a fool for believing her.
But then Tony tells me he knows about the ring. He tells me my grandmother wanted me to have her wedding ring. By this stage I'm starting to warm to him. It's true my grandmother had promised it to me and I wear her ring as my wedding ring now.
Tony tells me he knows my grandmother died in hospital with four people by her bed. He says my Mum was on her left hand side when she passed away. I later learn from my Mum that this is all true.
"Your nan wants you to know how much she loved you," he said. "And she's grateful for the all the time you spent with her. In a way I feel like she was second mother to you."
I'm started to get a little spooked by the accuracy of Tony's information. My grandmother was one of the most important people in my life. I slept in the same bed with her until she died when I was 11. I never called her granny, I always called her Mother.
"You Nan says your grandad was here to meet her when she passed into the spirit world," he said.
"I can tell there was a long period between their deaths, maybe 15 or 20 years. (22 actually).
"She wants me to tell you something so you'll know for sure its her," he continued.
"82, was she 82 when she died?" she was!
Tony went on the describe members of my granny's family, including her sister whom he named.
He also told me things which were so deeply personal, I was convinced he had a real gift.
Afterwards he asks me if I'm OK, and spontaneously I throw my arms around him.
