TULSA ? A self-proclaimed psychic is returning to Tulsa on Tuesday to coordinate a search for a missing teenager at an undisclosed location, a family member said Friday
Jeff Baker of Denver said he has spent last week getting psychic clues to the whereabouts of 13-year-old Cori Baker, who has been missing since Nov. 9.
With the help of volunteers, Baker plans to be in Tulsa on Tuesday to search for Cori, who isn't related to the psychic.
"I feel very confident we are going to find her,? said Danny Baker, Cori's father.
While Jeff Baker is volunteering his time to do the search for Cori, the family is accepting donations to offset some of his traveling expenses to Oklahoma, Danny Baker said.
Tuesday, volunteers will be notified of the search site, Danny Baker said. Until then, Jeff Baker doesn't want the information out about where the search location is or about sites where he has had "feelings,? he said.
Danny Baker said the psychic hasn't guaranteed the family anything.
"He says he will show up and do his best and help in any way he can,? Baker said.
Jeff Baker traveled to Woodward last week in an attempt to help investigators find the body of 6-year-old Logan Tucker, who disappeared in 2002. The search was unsuccessful.
Jeff Baker finished in the top four on "America's Psychic Challenge,? a television show that aired in the fall on the Lifetime network.
Following the ?feelings'
Danny Baker said he and Jeff Baker drove around Tulsa, and said the psychic would get a "feeling? indicating he had received psychic information about the whereabouts of the teenager.
"Rather than relying on theories, I didn't tell him (Jefff Baker) about any of the leads or investigation,? Danny Baker said.
"He would say ?turn left ? back up and turn right,' and I just followed.?
Search volunteers are asked to meet at 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Unity Church of Christianity at 3355 S Jamestown in Tulsa.
Cori was last seen with her sister's boyfriend, Marquis Bullock, who picked her up from classes at Union Alternative School.
Bullock is charged in Tulsa County District Court with first-degree murder and is due back in court March 17 for a preliminary hearing.
Danny Baker thinks his daughter's death was an "impulse killing?.
"One thing I have learned is the authorities will rarely say anything to the family in order to protect the case,? Danny Baker said.
EquuSearch, a nonprofit, volunteer group from Dickinson, Texas, along with 50 volunteers spent four days in November searching for Cori.
